2022 Wedding Trends

2022 is well underway, so we are already starting to see whats trending in wedding design. I think that every bride wants to have something unique about her wedding that has not been seen over and over again. It is always great to add personal touches or something reflective of your personality to your wedding. Below I will list the trends that I feel are spot on for 2022.

GO BIG OR GO HOME!

This year we are looking for everything big and grand. Big dresses, big centerpieces, big florals. Even if you are on a budget, you can splurge on one statement piece that will have a huge impact on your ceremony and reception decor. My favorite type of statement piece would be florals hanging from the ceiling. These can be real or artificial.

Because COVID numbers have declined, I anticipate BIG BIG parties. Invite everyone and party well into the night.

PEARLS

Pearls are so classic and timeless. In 2022, I see pearls returning in a big and unique way. You can include pearls in your attire and the attire of the wedding party. I would add pearls as a part of the table centerpieces, place settings, and chair covers. I think it would be beautiful to drape pearls from your wedding arch and illuminate them with candlelight.

BIG BOWS

The bow is another classic that is making its return. We are seeing more bridal and bridesmaid dresses with a huge bow sash or a bow on the back of the dress. I would also incorporate bows as pew or aisle hangers. I could definitely see a huge bow surrounded by flowers on the wedding arch.

WEDDING IMITATES ART

If you're looking for color inspiration, look to your favorite piece of art. Use the colors in the artwork as your wedding colors. I have a pice of art at home with a deep bold shade of blue and mustard and orange accents. I would love to use those colors for wedding design. I definitely see bright bold colors in 2022 Weddings.
